FAQ

How is Molybdenum Foil manufactured?

Molybdenum foil is produced when molybdenum metal is rolled into thin sheets. It is accomplished by heating the molybdenum under a controlled environment to a temperature at which it would be malleable and can be rolled into thin foils. The foils are cooled, annealed, and trimmed to the specified thickness and size.

Is Molybdenum Foil flexible and easy to work with?

Indeed, Molybdenum foil is flexible and can be shaped in various forms with ease, and thus it is used in several applications. It can be bent, cut, or molded into custom settings based on individual needs. But due to its high melting point and hardness, it is better worked with specialized equipment.

Can Molybdenum Foil be used in high-temperature applications?

Yes, Molybdenum foil is specifically designed for usage at high temperatures. Its melting point of more than 3,100°C and high thermal stability make it an excellent choice to be used in furnaces, reactors, and other heat-sensitive conditions. Molybdenum foil is extensively used in aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, and other industries where heat resistance is required.
