Nitinol Guide Wire Description

Nitinol Guidewire is made from a kink-resistant Nickel-Titanium (Nitinol) wire, coated with a thermoplastic polymer. Guidewires are designed to provide access and facilitate the passage of endourological instrumentation during urological procedures, as determined by physicians. Its outer surface is engineered for transurethral and/or percutaneous access into the bladder, ureter, and renal pelvis.

Nitinol Guide Wire uses a NiTi alloy core material, offering excellent straightness and flexibility, making it resistant to bending. It provides good torque, pushability, and maneuverability, with enhanced guiding properties that enable a 1:1 torque transmission. The outer sheath is made of PTFE, which offers excellent lubricity, reduces friction, and improves operational flexibility. The PU material tip is coated with a hydrophilic layer, making it soft and gentle to minimize tissue damage in patients.

Available in a variety of configurations, the guidewire offers multiple sizes (lengths and diameters), tip designs, and stiffness options to meet the specific needs of each procedure.
